Liturgical Appointments

Altar

The Altar pedestal has been embraced with limestone relocated from the Church façade.
The original Mensa (Stone Altar Table Top) is wrapped in mahogany with a gold leaf accent band.
A sense of proportionality and balance enhance focus for worship.

Tabernacle

The Tabernacle rests on a hand-chiseled limestone foundation.
The luster of the brass Tabernacle reflects our belief in Christ’s sacramental presence.
The freestanding Presence Lamp is a beacon for reverence.

 Ambo

The Ambo is the place of proclaiming God’s Word.
The Ambo reflects its connection to the Altar in design and in the rich
mahogany wood.

Crucifix

The Crucifix and aggregate stone
Reredos Wall have been beautified through intensive cleaning.

Baptismal Area

The wrought iron and brass Baptismal Font has been restored.
A crafted ceramic basin cradles the water of life.
Limestone niches have been fashioned for the Ambry (Holy Oils—Sacred Chrism, Oil of the Sick, Oil of Catechumens).
The Pascal Candle shines as a beacon of hope and promise of salvation.

Devotional Areas

Statuary

St. Joseph The Worker and Mary with the Child Jesus are placed to the right of the sanctuary. Statues of St. Pius X, The Sacred Heart of Jesus and an Icon of Divine Mercy are situated in a shrine area across from the Deacon David Library.

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross have been artistically enhanced by a hand painted backdrop
created individually for each scene.

Music

The painting of the Church has vastly improved the acoustics. A new sound system
enables a clearer understanding of the spoken word. A “revoicing” of the organ and the
addition of a baby grand piano ensures festive musical celebration.
