       Church Refurbishment

As the vision of the Narthex became a reality, our present Church

building began to show it’s age.  The Church Roof was replaced.

During Narthex construction, the Church was refurbished.

Painted Church Ceiling & Walls

The  gray  tectum  board  ceiling,  now  painted white, highlights the grained wood beams which reach upward  in  graceful arcs.  Forty  year old cinderblock walls have been painted in soothing tones.

 Church Windows

Over the decades the amber windows had
been broken and fixed with replacement
glass in colors which could not be matched.
Specially designed Hollander Glass windows
have been installed.

In Mediterranean Aqua, the middle and lower panels evoke the flowing waters of Baptism
with their vertical basket weave pattern. The upper window is fashioned with Dichroic Art Glass. Dichroic Glass reflects the rainbow spectrum of color with differing light and angles.

Throughout the day, the colors bathing the church interior are spectacularly different. The variety of hues speak to both the individual and the collective
nature of worship.
